Neretva river valley is also known as the Green Pearl of the Adriatic.
Geographically different from the rest of the Croatian coastline and the karst landscape, the fertile land around the river Neretva, is perfect for agriculture, different flora and fauna and is full of evidence of a rich history and interesting pirate stories.
Best known for its mandarine plantations and often called Croatian California.
At this place Neretva river meets the Adriatic Sea. It is extraordinary natural site with a two kilometer long sandy beach, with a shallow water.
Be avare not to go too close with a yacht because of the sandy and shallow sea bottom.
Facilities you can find here are two bars, campsite and two kite-surfing clubs – this area is Croatia top spot for kite surfing, and windsurfing.
Here you can also find a bird observatory, since Neretva delta is a protected area and the second largest ornithological site in Europe.
Behind the cape from the beach, there is a small tourist place Blace, with pebble beach, and a restaurant at the dock. This could be interesting location for your last charter day/night.
With a yacht you sail in through passage between the houses and this little islet.
beautiful seven lakes are connected with each other by channels, and also two tunnels connect lakes with sea and river in the hinterland, thus keeping the water constantly fresh.
Some of our clients, if they arrive back in our base at Friday afternoon, make a visit to Baćina lakes (5 min with a car). They enjoy the nature, take a ride in traditional vessel, try paddle surf or kayaking, or swimming in the lakes. And take refreshment in one of two bars at the lakes.

The „Lađa Marathon“ is a traditional, internationally known and recognized event, taking place every year at the Neretva river. Thirty teams participate in this 22 meters long race, rowing in vessels, starting in Metković and the finish line is in Ploče, where is organized huge party!
In the times of the Roman Empire, Neretva River was an important trading route connecting Narona, second largest Roman city on this side of the Adriatic with other parts of the Empire. Even today, Neretva sand still hides many of the sunken ancient treasures.
Museum Narona, in small place Vid, built on the ruins of an old Roman temple!
Local specialities include famous „brudet“ -goulash with eels and frogs.
